Was at my friendly Suzuki dealer the other day ordering a rear pillion passenger peg pin when I picked up a "genuine accessories" catalog. On page 13 for the Volusia a tach kit is offered. Dealer had one in stock for 289.00 which he allowed me to measure and it is the exact size that would fit the my Savage handlebar mount. I think it should work on the Savage. Has anyone else noticed this Suzuki part? The official response from Suzuki is this part is 'application specific' which means it has not been fully tested on the Savage. The dealer also thought it would work but had a really trick aftermarket tach that fit around the 1" bar between the mounts that was a knockout at 299.00. Anyone out there with any experience with mounting a tach on your Savage?
